Infinity Japanese Sectorial Army Unboxing

September 29, 2011 by

In today’s video I do an unboxing and build of the Japanese Sectorial Army from Infinity, as well as announce a random draw contest I’ll be doing tomorrow.

As a way to celebrate getting my first 10,000 views on the TabletopGamer YouTube channel, I’m going to be giving away a Military Orders Starter Pack from the PanOceania faction of Infinity games in tomorrow’s video.

In order to enter the contest, all you have to do is the following:

  1. Make sure you are YouTube subscriber on our TabletopGamer channel.
  2. Leave a comment on today’s video telling me what is your favorite Infinity miniature.

That’s it.  In tomorrow’s video I will do an unboxing of the Military Orders Starter Pack, and then give it away to a random subscriber who left a comment.

  7. [..YouTube..] I already own most of my favorites, but the model that made me jump into infinity with both feet is the Maghariba Guard TAG. Odd, since I am collecting Ariadna with relish. However I’m very enamoured of the model and the concept art for the female 4éme de Chasseurs as she reminds me of my wife.Keep up the great work on TTG.com!!!

  8. [..YouTube..] Actually I really like most of the JSA, but tops in the Oniwaban. He just looks like a space ninja… and I love space and I love ninjas… double the love.

[..YouTube..] Just watched that video. One thing I like is the speed montage of you building the models haven’t seen others do that is really cool. I also like the time you tale to show the model once assembled plenty of time to take it in. One suggestion: just show the individual pieces before assembly and skip the holding it with has part i feel you don’t get a good view of the model.keep up the good work!Favorite model from infinity: Reverand Custodier.

I like the Japanese Sectorial Army, because I kinda like sword wielding troops just like a The Legends Five Rings figure a friend gave me. BTW Kempitai is similar to a secret police in World War II Japanese.

    Cheers!

  22. Kaven says:

Alright Pauly i’m going to start this off, my favorite is the Caledonian volunteer from the Ariadna faction. Look at the picture and you’ll understand why:

This guy has a kilt, an oversized machine gun and you can bet a few flasks of whiskey in his pouches.

Well, as subscriptions /and/ comments appear to have fallen over on Youtube, I figure I should leave a comment and subscribe to your blog instead.

I’m new to Infinity as well – I only took note of it this weekend just gone. However, since then I’ve spent far too much time putting together army lists using the free rules and (fantastic) army builder software that Corvus Belli provide, but mostly basing them on my own miniature preferences. As such, I ended up with quite a few nominations for this post. In the end, though, I thought I’d opt for something a bit muted, just a perfectly executed ‘normal’ looking model.

Amongst all the incredible models – the wonderfully dramatically posed Aragoto bikers, the beautifully modelled Reverend Custodiers, the dramatic Guilang sniper /and/ rifleman models – the one which impresses me the most is the Hassassin Lasiqs rifleman. The Lasiqs sniper is, of course, a wonderful model, but the rifleman manages to take a fairly generic sounding unit – a camouflaged rifleman – in a generic pose – walking forward – and capture it in a way which fills the model with a sense of purpose and place. The slight craning of the figure’s neck as he pushes forward, looking slightly to his left as he brings his rifle to bear. His coat flapping backwards, set loose by his motions, allowing it to get blown back by the wind. It’s just sublime posing, utterly realistic, and incredibly dynamic even as it captures a completely mundane motion. And that doesn’t touch on the detailing – the incredible work done sculpting the creases and folds into the canvas of his outfit, the crevices of his armour, the toning of his arms and legs, and the components of his rifle.

It’s just a wonderful, subtle piece of art. You can see it here: http://www.infinitythegame.com/infinity/en/2011/miniatures/hassassin-lasiqs/

[..YouTube..] “Butai” is Japanese and it means something like “Fighting Force”. So it is like “Domaru Fighting Force” and “Keisotsu Fighting Force”.Other similar words that you will fin in Infinity are “Zensenbutai” and “Kidobutai”, which are similar to “Vanguard fighting Force” and “Armored fighting force”.

  55. [..YouTube..] @bostria – Very cool. Good to know this stuff. I’ll learn more as I get into Yu-Jing more.
